Leaf Number Line

This is a simple but effective method for helping young children learn the order of numbers. I found the foam numbers at Hobby Lobby.

Here is the info from the card I placed with this tray:

Leaf Number Line
Level of difficulty: Easy
Objective:
Put the numbered leaves in order, using the number line as a guide.
Control of Error:
There is one numbered leaf for each number on the line.

Going beyond:
*Count the number line 1-10 once he or she is done putting them in order.
*Have your child try to put the numbers in order without the number line, if you feel he or she is ready.
*Take away numbers and ask your child
to tell you which one is missing.
*The leaves are in a pattern, see if your child can identify what color leaf should come next. {Green}

God Bless!!
