Bible Activity Book Pages

Here are a few new pages in our Bible Activity Book.

First is our Tower of Babel page.

The verse at the top is Genesis 11:9, "It was called Babel because there the Lord confused the language of the whole world."

I used the Tower of Babel graphics that Carisa shared on her blog, 1+1+1=1, and changed them slightly to be the bricks of our tower. The kids match the numbers to 'build' their tower. It also promotes number recognition.

A little envelope (Dollar Tree, pack of 25) is taped to the back to hold the bricks when not being used.

******
We follow the Beginner's Bible in our lessons, and the next account is of Abram and Lot.

The verse we used was Genesis 12:1, 'The Lord had said to Abram,"Leave your country, your people, and your father's household and go to the land I will show you.'

I found this great set of printables from SundaySchoolKids.com I printed the color people and the black and white tent, the kids had a lot of fun coloring their tents. I didnt have them glue the top of the tent so they could be folded down and tucked into the green grass when not being used.

The kids can use Abram, Lot, and Sarai to tell the story over to each other.

*******

This last one was very simple, but probably one of the kids' favorite to make.

"The Lord did for Sarah what He had promised." Genesis 21:1b.

I printed off this color page of Abraham, Sarah, and Isaac from Bible Coloring Pages. Then, to represent the decendents of Abraham, we put tons of shiny star stickers (Dollar Tree). The kids loved sticking their stars all over the page.

****

I initially got the idea of a Bible Activity book from earlylearningathome.com

Previous Bible Activity Pages:

Noah's Ark
Creation
Adam Names the Animals
Adam and Eve

We just did the story of Abraham a couple weeks ago and I wish I had thought of the stars activity. It looks like so much fun.
