Garage Sale Treasures Week 4

I hope you have had a great week!  We spent the week travelling to see my family a few hours away.  We were able to spend an evening with all of my siblings and my parents before my sister left for her new home in Seattle, Washington.  Seattle is VERY far away from us!

When we got back, we still made a point to stop at a few sales.  It was a bit hot, but we still found a few treasures.

This was my favorite purchase.  Charger found this set as we were leaving a sale.  It is a set of Micro Machines!!  I remember my brother having some as a kid.  There was a raceway,

over 80 different cars, trucks, boats, planes, and tanks,

and a bus that turned into a city,  The total was $10.00.  It looks like the lot would sell for around 50.00 on eBay, so I think he chose well.  The kids have been having lots of fun with it!

I found some school supplies.  3 binders, 25 cents each.  Weekly Reader Games, pretty much about 12 file folder games, 1.00.  Picture Lotto and Habitat matching, $1.00 each.

Great for PE. a base set, $1.00.

Some freebies!  They are for a little older, but I think I can adapt them for some units we will be doing.

Books, 50 cents for the left one, $1.00 for the Barbie (Mustang's choice).  Four boxes of slides for our microscope, $1.00 total.

Clothes for Explorer.  Baby LuLu dress and Ralph Lauren dress were each $1.00.  Onesie was 25 cents.  PJs and jeans, 50 cents.

For Mini Cooper, PJ's, dress, outfit, and Ralph Lauren shorts, $4.00.

2 pair of PJs and two pair of lounge pants for Mustang, $4.00.

Two super cute dresses for Mustang, $1.00 each.

Hanna Andersson skirt and two pairs of Bermuda shorts, also for Mustang, 3.00.

And for Charger, 2 pair of shorts and a Gap polo.  $3.00.

Not too bad for $38.00!  Did you find any great deals this week?  I'd love to read about them!!  Come link up at My Life on a Taffy Pull!

God Bless!

  1. I love micro machines. I have my own collection. We own an auto body shop. For Christmas several years in a row, the ornaments were micro machines (table top tree). Looked pretty cool!

Looks like you found some great deals!!!

My son and his family are getting ready to leave the Seattle area due to being relocated in the Army. He's headed to Alabama...which is so very far away from us. Seattle was far enough at 9 hours. Now it'll be minimum of 3 days, maybe 4 :(

  3. What fun educational finds! I love the habitat matching cards and weekly reader games! And yes, the micro machines are a great find at that price! Hubby found a smaller set awhile back and it sold really well on ebay. I bet my oldest girl would love playing with them, though! Great prices on your clothes! Love when that happens. :)

Praying for you as your sister makes a big move. We are blessed to have most of our family close by, so I can't imagine what it'd be like. :( But there are so many ways to keep in touch now and what a great excuse for some fun family vacations!

  4. We are usually on the hunt for Legos, Tinker Toys and Playmobiles. My children can play with those for hours.
Great job with spending your money wisely ;)
