As you know, the Bible is the #1 best selling book of all time. Because of that, there are so many options to choose from that it makes purchasing one a challenge. The Girls Life Application Study Bible {New Living Translation} is a great option if you are looking for that special girl in your life {or if you are that girl}.
The beautiful purple butterfly binding and its soft leatherlike feel drew me in right away. I certainly didnt feel like I was looking at an old Pew Bible! Even the outside of the pages are decorated in a pretty pink design.
Every few pages there is extra information to help understand the Biblical text and how to apply it to your life. There is also a topical index in the back. My favorite part of the Girls Life Application Study Bible was the full color section in the middle that talks about Hebrew women and Princesses.
I own a Life Application Bible for myself and my DH has one too. In comparison to the 'Adult' versions, I did miss the character outlines and was disappointed that the maps are not in color, though they are very well illustrated.
Overall, I very much enjoyed the Girls Life Application Bible NLT and would recommend both the Bible and the NLT, which is one of my favorite translations.

Sounds like a great bible. We are still doing the kids bibles for attention spans but I will keep this one in mind for the future (but in a boys version :-))
