Tot School: B is for Butterfly

Tot School
Charger is 29 months

There are so many wonderful resources for the letter B and Butterflies! We had a great time checking out many of them.

Charger painted butterflies with our dot markers. The magnet page is from Confessions of a Homeschooler. And, my printer was low on color ink, so mine looks a little different lol!

Charger matched B butterflies {again a little different color then they should be} from Confessions of a Homeschooler.

We watched some great YouTube videos that I found out about thanks to Patricia at My Tot Learning Time. We all enjoyed dancing around to the beautiful music on this one, and singing this butterfly song. And then this last one is a great little clip on the life cycle of a butterfly.

B is for Brown Bear.

We read the book Brown Bear Brown Bear and Charger matched the animals from 1+1+1=1. Once again the colors were off, but hey many of the colors in the book are off anyways, right?

B is for Buttons.

Charger dropped buttons into a can that I cut a slit in.

B is for Bowling!

We all played a game of Penguin Bowling.

B is for...sorry no cute B word here. Another idea from Carissa, I had Charger hammer his letters with our whammer hammer. Its a bit loud, and didnt stay out for long, but Charger loved this!

B is for Barnyard.

We read Barnyard Dance by Sandra Boynton, and then set up our own barnyard. Mustang and Mini Cooper got in on this one!

B is for Beans.

Charger poured beans back and forth in these beautiful pitchers I received from my SIL in Italy. {Thank you Aunt Tina!}

B is for Beads.

Charge strung pony beads on pipe cleaners.

and when you turn your head for a minute....

B is for BIG MESS! Charger and Mustang decided to combine their work. Ug!

Tiny Tot School

One week, Carissa filled little breastfeeding bottles with beads for Ladybug, so I tried it for Mini Cooper and she loved it!

I also gave her some pipe cleaners to play with, and she had fun with the new texture. I love that she has learned to smile when I pick up a camera!! That's my girl!!!

To see what others did in their school this week, check out Carissa's blog at 1+1+1=1. God Bless!!

Great week. I can just imagine the sound as he hammered away at the alphabet. I know my little one would love that!

Looks like a great week! Your B is for Big Mess brings back some lovely memories of the same happening to us - that mess sat on the tray and I tried to bribe each of my boys to sort it - didn't happen, so I finally threw the mess away. Have a great week!
