Spiderweb Cards and Counters

This tray was by far my favorite, but I will be honest that Mustang didnt love it and the kids at our preschool group didnt touch it {it was a bit difficult for them}. Not sure if it was the lack of colors or what!

I made this tray by drawing spider webs on pieces of white card stock and then adding a spider. I found these COOL plastic flies at the Dollar Tree. The moment I saw them I knew I had to buy them, but I didnt yet have this tray in mind.

The goal was to put the spiderwebs in order from 1 to 10.

Then count out the right amount of flies to catch in each web.

Stickers are on the back for self checking. Hope you liked it better then Mustang! God Bless!

Halloween Learning Trays: Pumpkins

I wish I could have gotten these up before Halloween, but it was all I could do to have them ready for our class on Friday. So, think of them as early for next year lol! Some could be used for Thanksgiving, so not all is lost.

Pumpkin Craft {ART}

I found this in a prepackaged craft at Walmart. I wasnt keen on it because of the 5.00sticker price, but our Dollar Tree had run out of all of their art kits and this was all I could find in town! Turns out, I was pleased and so were the kids.

Level of Difficulty: Any {though some will need more help then others}
Objective: Using the sample card, have your child pick a face they want to make. Take a pumpkin and the stickers needed to make the face. Have your child stick the eyes, nose, and mouth in the right spots to make the pumpkin face.

Pumpkin Match {Pre-Reading}

Using the same kit I talked about for the pumpkin craft, I made up some pumpkin sets. Since I was able to use the set for 2 different activities, the 5.00 price tag seemed a lot more justified. They are very cute, too!

Level of Difficulty: Medium
Objective: Match the sets of pumpkins. There are a total of 10 sets.
Control of Error: Each pumpkin has just one match
Going Beyond: Turn this into a memory game and play with a partner.

More tomorrow! God Bless!!

PHEW!!

Omygoodness!!!! I just blinked and, um, 12 days just past!!! Holy Cow how did that happen?! I once read that one of the top ten rules of bad blogging is to write a post apologizing for not posting. But, I would think it would be even worse to not so, here it is...sorry! It has been a bit crazy around these here parts!

Some of the highlights:

*I took a 3 hour road trip with all three children BY MYSELF!! and SURVIVED!!

*Went to my niece's first birthday party. The decorations were AMAZING, my SIL really out did herself. I hope to have a post about that very soon!

*Found out that we are moving, though where I know not. More details on this when I have ANY info *sigh*

*Put together our Halloween Preschool group centers-Which I will be blogging about this week, even though Halloween has past *another sigh*

*Took the kiddos Trick or Treating for the first time {in past years we have gone to our church celebration}. Lots of fun was had by all, lots of candy is still at my house, all is good!

*Recovered from the flu!!! Praise the Lord! I was seriously making deals with God this time, I felt so terrible!! Oh and did I mention it lasted less then 24 hours? I am a wuss!

*And, as if this update isnt exciting enough {eye roll}, 12 years ago today, I voted for the first time and then went on my first date with my DH. Wow 12 years has flown by!!

To redeem myself for this pathetic post, I thought I'd share the kiddos in their Halloween costumes. These were taken at my neice's birthday/costume party.

The girls in their matching costumes :). Not sure where they were looking! And, please excuse the gigantic bruise on Mustang's chin. Pippi Longstocking told her she could do anything if just imagined it. Apparently that doesnt include flying across your slate and iron coffee table. Uh-huh.

And my little man. dressed up as Woody-my 2.00 yard sale find! I just had to buy a 1.00 hat at the Dollar Tree, and we were both happy.

Hope you had a great Halloween! God Bless!!
