What Was in the Basket: Family Gifts

I {er I mean the Easter Bunny} found some really cool things to fill the kids' baskets with this year! I thought I'd share them with you incase you are looking to buy gifts for your kiddos in the near future. To keep the posts simple, there will be a seperate post for each age. This first post is about the gifts that all the kids shared from Mom and Dad.

First, they received the book The Flowering Cross, by Beth Ryan. I did I review on it a few weeks ago, which you can read about here. The kids loved the pictures and Mustang was excited that the book was about a blonde little girl, like her. But, it did not hold their attention for long. Charger wasnt interested in reading it at all, and Mustang got about half way through. It's okay, though, I wasnt expecting much different. It's a beautiful book that will be appreciated on different levels as the kids grow.

If you have a blog and like to get free books, you can become a reviewer for Thomas Nelson. For more information check out their website.

The other gift was an awesome DVD from The Go Fish Guys! I was blessed to WIN this DVD along with a CD from Adventures in Tot School. We have been LOVING this DVD!!! There is a song about the books of the Bible and one about the 10 Commandments in addition to Jesus Loves Me, Zacheus Was a Wee Little Man and Only A Boy Named David! Did I just take you down memory lane? Its been so much fun to get to see my kids falling in love with the songs of my childhood and learning about the Lord all at the same time. Thank you so much!!!

Here are some pictures of Mustang rocking out to the music. I think she is going round and round to Only A Boy Named David. She was pretty dizzy afterwards.

Two great gifts, and they didnt cost me anything, which is an awesome blessing! My blog about basket #1, Charger's, should be up tomorrow. Hope you'll check it out. God Bless!

I love the dancing pictures - she is so cute! I think these were great ideas for their baskets; hopefully they'll enjoy the book a bit more as they grow.
