Mustang, who is 4 years old, is currently into all things artistic. She probably got this from my grandfather or my husband's sister, both of whom are excellent painters. Unfortunately for her, the thought of painting inside our farm house gives me visions of splattered white carpet {and I know what that looks like-read this post for details}. It seems the Easter Bunny is more interested in finding a great gift then about the carpet. Ahem, yes I am the bunny. Apparently all the candy killed brain cells.
The 'big item' in Mustang's basket was this Tinkerbell paint set. I got it from the Dollar Tree! I had found it on the one and only trip I managed to make without her to the store and, thankfully, picked it up. Every single trip to the Dollar Tree since, she spotted it herself and begged and bargained to try and get me to buy it. So, yes, she loved it!
She also received Clifford's Happy Easter book. Mustang is having fun 'reading' this to herself. She really is on the verge of reading, and is thrilled when she finds a sight word she knows. I got this for 1.00 from the Scholastic sale.
So basket total: 2.00. I was honestly a little worried that the kid's gifts weren't 'equal.' I mean, Charger's gift cost me 5.00 and is a 30.00 toy. Mustang's cost 1.00 for a 1.00 toy. But, they didnt notice at all. Mustang enjoyed her paint set every bit as much as Charger enjoyed his cars. And, I enjoyed it because we were visiting my mom and dad for the holiday, so Mustang painted at her house. She has brown carpet.

Don't you just love that if you get them something they love it doesn't matter how much it costs! She looks so happy with her paint set!
