Book Review: Plan B by Pete Wilson

In December of 2006, after nearly 2 weeks of doctor visits, ultrasounds, praying, and pleading with the Lord, we said goodbye to our much wanted and loved baby at just 10 1/2 weeks gestation. It was the hardest time I have have gone through in my life to date. It was the first time that, as Pete Wilson puts it, I needed a 'Plan B.'

In his book, Pete Wilson addresses the question 'What do you do when God doesnt show up the way you thought He would?' With his down to earth style of writing, Mr. Wilson quickly drew me in. I felt as though he were talking to me face to face. He uses unexpected Bible stories to help illustrate the love and comfort God has for those facing major life challenges, as well as many real life situations that may mirror what a reader is going through.

As I read through the book, I relived my own path to healing and I know that Pete Wilson's path is right on. I just wish I had read this book at the time. Plan B is a great read for anyone facing a 'Plan B' situation, whether it be death or divorce or anything in between. It would be a great book for a Small Group study as it even has a study guide in the back for group discussion.

Thank you to Thomas Nelson Publishers for providing me with a complementary copy of Plan B for my review. I was not paid for my review and the opinions expressed are my own.

Sounds interesting. I'll have to see if I can find it somewhere.

What a great book! I had a friend lose her child at 8 weeks old to SIDS about a year and a half ago. She is a pastor's wife and I am sure she would love to know about this book.

I'm sorry to read this. Your angel is being held in God's arms, till you're there to do it.

God bless you.
