Adding Postage Game: Free Math Printable

Over the last couple of weeks, our 'theme' has been the mailman. I wanted a fun math tie in, so I made up a little addition game.

I made up 10 envelopes (just the fronts). There is one for each number from 1-10. I also made up a number of stamps with 1-10 on them. The letters are to and from various Disney characters, which I used as a side lesson to help teach them that the sender's name goes at the top and the recipeint's name goes in the middle (not sure they got that, but oh well).

Charger's game was very simple. I had him match the stamp with the envelope.

I had Mustang play an addition game. I would give her an envelope and then a number of stamps. I asked her to choose the stamps needed to add up to the number on her envelope. Sometimes, there would be more then one answer. The envelope in this picture needed 3 cents, so she chose three one cent stamps. And was quite pleased with herself-if you cant tell!

This second envelope needed 6 cents. I gave her a 2 cent stamp, a 4 cent stamp and a 1 cent stamp. She correctly chose the 2 cent and 4 cent stamp to equal 6 cents.

Mustang told me that she really enjoyed this game, so I thought I would share it with you! It can be downloaded here. I hope you like it!

God Bless!!
